廉價的恩典

----摘自潘霍華於1937年出版的《門徒的代價》

「廉價恩典是教會致命的仇敵。
今日我們得為昂貴的恩典而戰。
廉價恩典像把恩典拿到舊貨攤上賤賣。
廉價恩典就是傳揚不須悔改的饒恕之道，
傳講不須遵守教會紀律的受浸之道，
傳講不須認罪的擘餅儀式，
傳講不須個人懺悔的赦罪之道。

廉價恩典就是不須要作門徒的恩典,
是缺了十字架的恩典,
是沒有復活和道成肉身的耶穌基督之恩典。」

"Cheap grace is the deadly enemy of our church. We are fighting today for costly grace. Cheap grace means grace sold on the market like the cheap jackwares. Cheap grace is the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline, Communion without confession, absolution without personal confession. Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate."
